WHAT KIND OF AUDIO SOURCES CAN I USE WITH THE SOUNDSCENE? The SoundScene is designed specifically for use with today's most popular Bluetooth devices, including Smartphone's, tablets and laptops. In addition, the SoundScene includes an auxiliary input for connection to an MP3 or similar portable player.
HOW DO I PAIR MY AUDIO SOURCE WITH THE SOUNDSCENE? For simple and secure pairing your audio device must be in close proximity to the SoundScene - within a range of 1 metre. Turn on the SoundScene Press the T (transmit select) button Press the Bluetooth logo on the top of the SoundScene - SoundScene will announce 'Pairing' Go into your settings, select and turn on Bluetooth. Scan for new Bluetooth devices and select 'SoundScene 3'. You will not be prompted for a pass code for pairing. (Note: Bluetooth audio connectivity can vary between devices so it can be beneficial to firstly consult with your audio source user manual for pairing instructions if unsure)
HOW DO I CONNECT BY NFC - AUTOMATIC PAIRING? Turn on your audio source and unlock the screen Turn on the SoundScene Press the T (transmit select) button Press the Bluetooth logo on the top of the SoundScene - SoundScene will announce 'Pairing' Ensure that NFC is enabled in the settings on your audio source Touch the back of your audio source to the top of the SoundScene where the NFC logo is located - you will be asked to confirm that you wish to connect and pair with the SoundScene - select Yes/OK. You can disconnect by simply touching your audio source again to the top of the SoundScene.
HOW DO I CONNECT ONE SOUNDSCENE SPEAKER TO ANOTHER (OR MORE) SOUNDSCENE SPEAKERS? Select the speaker that you wish to use as the transmitter - this should be the one you have your audio source connected to. Select R (receive mode) on the receiving speakers, and T (transmit mode) on the transmitting speaker. Press and hold LINK on the transmitter (until the T light is flashing quickly), then press and hold LINK on the receiving speaker (until the R light stops flashing) - repeat for each additional speaker you wish to connect.
HOW CAN I PAIR WITH THE SOUNDSCENE IF SOMEONE ELSE IS ALREADY CONNECTED TO IT? Press and hold the Bluetooth logo on the top of the SoundScene - this will disconnect the current user and the SoundScene will announce 'Pairing' and allow you to connect.
WHAT IS THE WIRELESS RANGE OF THE SOUNDSCENE? SoundScene uses a Class 1 Bluetooth radio, and will allow you to connect your phone to the speaker up-to 30m (100ft) away (providing there are no obstructions between your phone and the speaker). When connecting to additional SoundScene speakers, these must be within 30m (100ft) of the transmitting speaker.
HOW DO I CONTROL THE SPEAKER? The power and volume controls are located on the SoundScene itself. Alternatively, you can use your smartphone or other paired device to select a playlist, etc. No additional remote control is necessary.
WHAT IS THE PLAYING/CHARGING TIME OF THE BATTERY? A fully charged battery provides up to 8 hours of continuous playing time. (Note: this can vary depending on volume levels and music genre) The first time you use your SoundScene, let it charge for 12 hours to ensure the battery is properly conditioned. Thereafter an empty battery will usually take 3-4 hours to charge.
